Superify Your Snitch
Installing a Vehicle Power Kit in your vehicle takes only minutes.  The outcome is higher GPS tracking sensitivity and shorter response times while keeping Snitch’s battery fully charged.  Consider installing a few Vehicle Power Kits in your vehicle so that you have some hiding place options.  Change it up!

Antenna Out
Mount Snitch with its top facing out from metal surfaces.  This orients Snitch’s GPS antenna away from the mounting surface.  The GPS antenna operates much like you ear and it listens for satellite signals.  Metal surfaces can shield radio signals, so keep the top facing out from your vehicle and not toward metal surfaces within your vehicle.  Ray Finkle says “Antenna Out!” 

Optimize Your Hiding Spot
Try a few locations in your vehicle to see which gives you the best performance.  Some locations may yield higher GPS and wireless tracking performance but are still well hidden.  Check your GPS signal strength and your GSM signal strength for some test locations.  Compare to when your Snitch is out it the open.  These signals are available within our Web interface when you log into your account.
